My youngest child was headed to college when I appointed myself “Local Historian.” A beautiful old house on the St. Lucie River near the bridge that led to our home on Sewall’s Point was to be demolished. I started asking questions about its history. One question led on another and another. The answers intrigued me. The things I learned and the photographs I collected needed to be shared. Twenty years, four books and hundreds of historic presentations later, I am still asking questions, recording the answers and sharing local history.
